Best paddles under $200, voted on by The Kitchen community

These paddles deliver premium performance without the premium price tag

A few weeks ago, we asked The Kitchen Facebook Group (which has more than 190,000 members) one simple question: "What is your favorite pickleball paddle right now?"

The response was massive. Across three community polls and hundreds of comments, a clear group of paddles separated themselves from the pack. We compiled the full results into this list: The Top 10 pickleball paddles right now, voted on by The Kitchen community.

But one thing stood out when we looked back at the data: A lot of the paddles winning the conversation aren't actually breaking the bank.

So we looked at the data again, this time filtering out anything over $200. What's left is a list of community-favorite paddles delivering serious performance without the premium price tag. Even better, every paddle on this list is available with a Kitchen discount, which brings the prices down even further. Use code "KITCHEN" to save at checkout.

Here are the paddles leading the value conversation, in order of how loudly the community talked about them.

1. HONOLULU J2 / J6 SERIES

Retail: $195 | After code "KITCHEN" (10% off): $175.50

No brand in our original poll generated more passionate responses relative to its size than Honolulu. The J2, J2NF, J2Ti, and J6CR models came up over and over in the comments, with players highlighting their plush response, huge sweet spot, spin generation and kitchen control.

Several players specifically called out how "connected" these paddles feel on the soft game. For a lot of people, Honolulu delivers a premium-feeling paddle at a noticeably lower price.

2. FRIDAY AURA PRO

Retail: $169 | After code "KITCHEN" ($10 off): $159

The Aura Pro continues to own the "best value paddle" conversation. Players regularly compared it to paddles costing twice as much, while pointing to its lightweight feel, forgiving sweet spot and balanced performance.

The takeaway across the polls was consistent: People genuinely feel like the Aura Pro overdelivers for what you pay.

3. BREAD & BUTTER LOCO

Retail: $199 | After code "KITCHEN" (10% off): $179.10

The Loco was one of the breakout favorites of the original poll, and it holds up just as well in the value conversation. Players praised the firm but controlled feel, good pop without being too hot, solid resets, and a low swingweight that keeps hands fast at the kitchen line.

A few commenters specifically called out how hard it is to justify spending significantly more when paddles like the Loco exist at this price.

4. PROTON PROJECT PEACOCK

Spring Fling Sale: Every Proton paddle at least $100 off | Stack code "KITCHEN" for an additional 15% off

The Project Peacock doesn't normally land under $200, but Proton's Spring Fling Sale just changed that. Every paddle is at least $100 off right now, and code "KITCHEN" stacks on top for an additional 15% off. Every paddle is also backed by a lifetime warranty.

The Peacock earned its spot in our original Top 10 with praise for its plush feel, gritty surface, stability and controlled power. Pairing all of that with the biggest Proton discount of the year is the kind of deal that doesn't come around often.

5. 11SIX24 POWER 2 SERIES

Retail: $209 | After code "KITCHEN" ($10 off): $199

The Power 2 line had a very loyal following throughout all three polls. Players highlighted the foam feel, spin, control, range of shapes and the brand's customer service. The Vapor Power 2 was the model mentioned most often.

At under $200 after the discount code, it's one of the strongest value plays in pickleball right now.
