The most powerful paddles in pickleball

Still legal. Very lethal.

The top 5 POWER paddles on the market today

You might think you’re a ‘control’ player, but you risk falling behind in the modern game if you’re not using a paddle with a bit more pop. Even dinks are more aggressive than they’ve ever been before.

Good news, though: these days, you don’t need to sacrifice all of your control to play with the most powerful paddles. Manufacturers have balanced feel with power, and the results are something you need to experience to believe.

Below are the best paddles on the market designed to maximize power.

🔗 We’re updating our list of best power paddles monthly — bookmark it to see where new releases land.

1. JOOLA Perseus Mod TA-15 Pro Player Edition

The Mod pushed the limits of power and spin, so much so that USA Pickleball is “sunsetting” this paddle and a few other power paddles on July 1, 2025. Until then, it’s legal to use — and it’s not like anyone will kick you out of rec play for using it.

2. Gearbox Pro Power Elongated

If power is what you’re looking for above all else, look no further. The Gearbox Pro Power Elongated lets bangers have a field day and gives a boost to players who need that extra bit of putaway power. (As with the Mod TA-15, this paddle is on the USAP list of paddles that will be "sunset" on July 1 — so consider this a rec play paddle after that point).

3. Paddletek Bantam TKO-C 12.7mm

Designed with pro Christian Alshon, the Bantam TKO-C gives players max power from the baseline and great pop in hands battles at the kitchen line. It differs slightly from the Bantam TKO-CX that we featured in our overall top paddles list — this model has a shorter handle and a larger hitting surface, which means the paddle face has more room to flex and generate more power.

4. JOOLA Tyson McGuffin Magnus 3S

Develop your own “Ferrari forehand” with the longer body of this model, which allows the face & core to flex more toward the top end of the paddle and return more energy to the ball as a result.

5. Proton Series Three Flamingo

The updated Series Three model features a more powerful core and a slightly more textured hitting surface for maximum pop and spin. The Flamingo has already been adopted by several pros on the PPA Tour and the 15mm “Velocity Core” is quickly earning this paddle a reputation as one of the most aggressive on the market.

 👀

We’re keeping an eye on a paddle that has been in the hands of pros and sponsored players for quite awhile but is now set to make its debut to the general public very soon. We can’t wait to get our hands on the CRBN TruFoam, as it will have a good chance to enter this list as well as our overall top 10 list.
